Foo Fighters fans who attended Glastonbury were surprised as their favorite band played under the name 'The Churnups'. Foo Fighter took the Pyramid Stage at the festival after the festival's schedule said to have been waiting for the band 'The Churnups'.
From the Pyramid Stage, the band led by Dave Grohl spoke about a strange letter published on the musician's own Instagram account, where in his own handwriting he thanked his fans to thank them for their support.
"Every night, when I see you singing, it makes me sing harder. When I see you screaming, It makes me scream louder. When I see your tears, it brings me to tears. And when I see your joy, it brings me joy. but, I see you... and it feels good to see you, churning-up these emotions together". He wrote, leaving a hint of what could be the Foo Fighters' appearance at Glastonbury 2023.
Once it was clear who would be 'The Churnups' on stage, the Foo Fighters show at Glastonbury 2023 was full of emotions as thousands of fans saw for the first time the participation of Josh Freese, who just a few weeks ago was introduced as the new drummer of the group.
In addition, Violet Grohl took the stage to sing a duet with her dad after 75 minutes into the show and, together they sang "Show me how", a song that Dave wrote to Violet's mom, who died last year.
At the end of their nine-piece set, including "My Hero" in a short version, as well as "Everlong" with a dedication to Taylor Hawkins, who died in Colombia last year.
