Sergio Busquets will be re-joining his former teammate, Lionel Messi, at Inter Miami as announced by the club and Fabrizio Romano.
Busquets had expressed his intention to leave Camp Nou a month ago, and his next move was uncertain. Besides Inter Miami, he had also caught the attention of Saudi Arabia. However, Busquets declined their interest, stating he was keen to experience Major League Soccer.
Messi, who shares a great rapport with the legendary midfielder Busquets, welcomes his joining Inter Miami. Together, they hope to lead Miami into the playoffs.
Another ex-Barcelona player, Jordi Alba, may also be on Inter Miami's radar. Alba, like Busquets, has stated his intent to exit Camp Nou this summer, hence becoming available as a free agent.
Reports suggest that Alba is currently in talks with Inter Miami. If things proceed smoothly, he might join Messi and Busquets in Miami within the year.
